Lotta Melin last performed at Dansens Hus in 2007 with the critically acclaimed work Behind Beyond. A member of the performance art trio Agrare, she is now presenting the premiere of a newly created dance and electronic experiment on the Main stage. A Safe Place To Die takes the audience in to the universe of Jules Vernes with sounds, light, volcanoes, octopuses, fossils, and more. Here  choreography is blended with electronic and acoustic live music, visual art, animation and video projections. Also on stage is the artist Jan Håfström, in the middle of his own world of imagery. Melin and Håfström have collaborated before, among others at the opening of the Biennale in Venice and in the popular performance Regarding Diana Palmer’s disappearance at Liljevalchs in April 2009.

Agrare consists of the Stockholm-based choreographer and dancer Lotta Melin, and the Norwegian noise-musicians Hild Sofie Tafjord and Maja Ratkje—world famous in their genre. The trio has a  series of successful dance concerts behind them.
